Do my customers need to download an app?+

No. Customers order through a web page, just a link you share. It works on any phone or computer, no app download required.

How do I get paid?+

Payments are processed by Stripe and deposited directly into your bank account. IndieMenu never touches your money. You get paid as if the customer paid you directly.

Are there any other fees?+

IndieMenu's only fee is the monthly subscription. We take no commission on your orders. Payments are processed by Stripe, who charge their standard card processing fee (typically around 1.5% + 25p per transaction in the UK). That's it. No hidden charges from us.

Can I keep my Deliveroo or UberEats page running?+

Absolutely. IndieMenu is your own direct channel and doesn't affect your marketplace listings. Most restaurants run both while they build up their direct order volume.

How do customers find my ordering page?+

You get a link like yourrestaurant.indiemenu.co.uk to share anywhere: your Google Business profile, Instagram bio, printed menus, QR codes, or your website.

Is there a contract or minimum term?+

No contract. You pay month to month and can cancel any time. There's also a 14-day free trial with no credit card required.

What payment methods do customers use?+

All major credit and debit cards via Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay / Google Pay on supported devices).

How will I know when a new order comes in?+

Your dashboard sends an instant push notification to your phone or browser the moment an order arrives. No need to keep the tab open or refresh. You can accept and set an estimated wait time from anywhere.

Do customers get their own accounts?+

Yes, and this is one of IndieMenu's biggest advantages. Customers create a free account on your ordering page (or sign in with Google), track their live order, and build up a full history with you specifically. Every returning customer is yours, not a marketplace's.

Can I run promotions or discounts?+

Yes. You can set a sale price on any menu item at any time. Ideal for daily deals, happy hours, or clearing stock. The deal shows clearly on that item's price without touching your regular menu.

Can customers collect orders instead of getting them delivered?+

Yes. You can enable click & collect so customers choose delivery or collection at checkout. Collection orders have no delivery fee and don't require an address. Great for customers who prefer to pick up in person.

What happens when I'm closed?+

You set your opening hours in your dashboard. Outside those hours, your ordering page shows as closed and customers can't place orders.
